  • 534 - Quilter’s Affair Main Event: Dinner + Two Hot Fuser Chicks Program
with Laura Wasilowski & Frieda Anderson
    Friday, July 12 - 5:30 pm $20 (includes dinner)

In Illinois, Frieda Anderson and Laura Wasilowski belonged to the same quilt group. They both loved making art quilts, but believed fusible web wasn’t getting the respect it deserved. Inspired by the Chicago School of Architecture, they founded the fictional “Chicago School of Fusing.” They established an imaginary campus, with a faculty, logo, choir, and fight song. They like to share their creative journey: how they started quilting, and why they went to fusing. They will demo their favorite tips and techniques and share their award-winning art quilts. You will laugh, learn and be inspired. But consider yourself warned – there WILL be singing. (Frieda is mostly responsible for the tambourine...)

Dinner Menu: (from Tate & Tate Catering) Vegetarian Pasta Primavera with Grilled Chicken & Lemon Cream Sauce, Fruit Slice, Rolls, Finger Desserts
