The Mystery Quilt that Tula has designed for you is ocean themed, which is why she has used mostly Zuma fabrics for her sample quilt. You do not need to choose ocean themed fabrics though - this would be just as cute in any number of prints or solids. The main thing to keep in mind is that your two background fabrics should have good contrast with your colorful fabrics. Tula chose a rainbow of colorful fabrics, prints, and solids, with a soft gray and white for the background. It’s difficult to choose fabrics when you haven’t seen the quilt, so Tula has included a fabric selection guide in the supply list.
